Summary of the factory fit-out for Andair.
Works on the 1150m2 recently constructed unit in Fishers Grove, Farlington will include the design, manufacture, and installation of a Mezzanine Floor, Fire protection, Partitioning, Suspended Ceilings, Carpentry and M&E works.
We worked closely with our client at design stage, involving them in every step of the process, from the initial concept for the layout to selecting the right materials and finishes. This collaborative approach will ensure that the final result will meet their exact requirements.
The mezzanine floor installation was a crucial aspect of the project. Mezzanine floors offer a cost-effective solution to maximise the use of the otherwise wasted space above the floor area, and in this case, it allowed Andair to create additional areas for offices, assembly, and inspection purposes. The design of the mezzanine floor took into consideration the specific needs of the client, ensuring that it seamlessly integrated with the proposed machinery layout and factored in the colour of the steel framework to match their corporate image.
Safety and compliance will be a priority throughout the project. We worked closely with our partners LABC at design stage to ensure that all necessary fire protection and building safety measures will be in place, guaranteeing the safety of the occupants and compliance with Building Regulations. The specification for the partitioning and suspended ceiling systems to form the office, assembly, and inspection areas are all designed to provide the correct fire resistance for each area, with new fire and smoke detection being fitted in each area.
In addition to the structural and partitioning works, there will be extensive mechanical and electrical (M&E) works. This includes the installation of new LED lighting systems, 3-phase and small power systems, CCTV & access control, and the installation of a Solar PV system, covering the entire roof area highlighting Andair's commitment to sustainability and operating as a responsible business.
